Had a great weekend. Bill Maher was hilarious at Foxwoods and had maybe 30% new material, and our seats were sweet. Jim Gaffigan was also very funny and our seats were even better! Also took a Jacuzzi and bubble baths, bought a Buddha in Olde Mistick Village, and gambled in a casino for the first time ever (Played Video Poker, Slots, and Roulette…lost $40.00 overall). A fun experience. Oh, and we played in the arcade too!
The Foxwoods Outing
Ondria and I spent the weekend in Connecticut. On Friday night we went to see Bill Maher perform live at the MGM Grand. On Saturday we saw Jim Gaffigan and gambled. On Sunday we spent some time in Olde Mistick Village (Mystic Village).
I bought a Buddha in Mystic Village. Even though I hate religion, I hate Buddhism the least. It’s really more of a philosophy than a religion anyway. If you ignore the supernatural crap about a man being born from a lotus flower and reincarnation, there’s some decent stuff in there. The thing about existence being suffering and suffering being caused by desire seems on the ball.
